Me and my friend traveled with paul to mt. Kenya this May and it was incredible!
Paul is a great person with a lot of knowledge of the area, he took care of everything for us. The service we received was perfect, the food he cooked was delicious and the porters were so nice.
I recommend paul to you all, he is a good man and will give an experience of your life!
I hiked with guide Joe and cook Francis to the top of Mount Kenya in Jul 2018 on a 4 day trip starting on the Sirimon route and ending in Chogoria. Joe was a fantastic guide and made every effort to make the trip work perfectly, he was friendly and helpful and his expert knowledge of the mountain allowed us to see some fantastic wildlife too. Some of the animals we saw included Colobus and Sykes monkeys, antelope, Mount Kenya eagles, buffalo, water buck, and rock hyrax as well as a host of interesting birds. Francis worked tirelessly to provide us with exceptional food at every meal, it was such a treat to arrive at the camp after a long days trek to a feast of food!
I would recommend doing the walk in this direction as the sections are split up nicely and the night hike to the summit for sunrise from Shiptons Camp is very manageable.
I was able to hire hiking boots and a sleeping bag, the equipment i did not have with me, for a little extra which worked very well.
I can highly recommend Polemark tours for this trip and Joe as a brilliant guide!

Jambo Paul! We are back in Spain. It has been very nice with your warm team up on the mountain. Lenana peak at 5.000 m is one of the most exciteing trekkings we have done ever, and cross Mount Kenia National just a marvellous walk! We keep in contact for next year Margarita peak in Uganda. Thank you very much Paul for loof after us up on the roof of Kenia ! Cheers.
